Logicnaut Quest Lab

What this site collects

Logicnaut Quest Lab and the Logicnaut Editor are built to collect as little learner information as possible.

What stays on this device

Solved quests, stars, bolts, and hint counts are stored in this browser under the key logicnaut-quest-state-v1. Your Scratch style projects, one per quest plus the free style project, are stored in this browser's IndexedDB. None of it is sent to a server.

What we do not ask a child for

We do not ask for an email address, birth date, photo, voice recording, public username, location, school, or advertising profile. There are no accounts.

Checking is done on this device

When you press Check, the real Scratch engine runs your project inside this browser and compares what happened with what the quest asked for. Nothing is uploaded.

Where the editor loads from

The editor itself is served from this site. Sprites, backdrops, and sounds in its libraries load from the Scratch Foundation's public asset servers when you open those libraries. Tutorials also load from Scratch. No learner data is sent with those requests beyond an ordinary web request.

Family controls

Clearing this site's browser data removes all progress and projects. Use File, Save to your computer to keep a copy of a project.

About Scratch

Scratch is a project of the Scratch Foundation. Quest Lab and the Logicnaut Editor use the open source Scratch editor unchanged, with Logicnaut branding, and are independent labs that are not affiliated with or endorsed by Scratch.
